Wall ball routine!
FZU wall ball routine
-Stand 6 yards away from the wall
-Use helmet & gloves
-Use a tennis ball or nerf ball to help increase your throwing power and create softer hands for catching
-Stagger feet &s step- Do not stand w/feet parallel to the wall
-Throw Overhand as hard and as fast as you can, stick is at 11-1 o’clock (Head of stick above your head your head, top hand is head high and bottom hand is shoulder high)
-When throwing you should see your bottom hand above the brim of your helmet and snap your wrists so the head of your stick is pointing at your target at the end of your follow through.
-Time yourself three times each workout (at least three times a week)
-When throwing off hand choke up on stick (slide top hand down 6 inches from head of stick and slide bottom hand up six inches from bottom of stick)
10 – Right Handed
10 – Left Handed
10 – Right cross handed
10 – left cross handed
10 – one hand right handed (D & Goalies 5)
10 – one handed left handed (D & Goalies 5)
20 – Quick Stick Right handed
20 – Quick Stick Left Handed
20 – Throw & Switch hands to catch (throw right, catch left, throw left, catch right)
20 – Catch & Switch Hands (throw right, catch right, switch to left, throw left catch left)
